  2. Great virtual tour of Mt. Vernon, I especially liked the info on the teeth and the necessary. Speaker could have used some emotion though.

  3. I too enjoyed the video. I know very little about Mt. Vernon and this video gave a great preview of it. The teeth were interesting yet gross. I thought the information about the outside of the house where it is made of wood, yet painted to look like stone was neat too. I love old houses so I found the interior pictures great too. I would have loved to dine in that green dining room. Thanks for sharing!

  5. George Washington's teeth where not made of wood?!! This type of video (slide show with voiceover) seems like it would be super easy to make. Does PowerPoint have a "recording" mode where it will let you run a slideshow and record voiceover as you do it? Does anyone know of an easy resource, besides screen capturing, (maybe even one that the district already has installed or one that is online) for doing this type of video?

PS: I could not find the embed code on the TeacherTube video either.

  6. I found the video interesting, mostly because I was just at Mt. Vernon a couple of years ago. I went with my husband out to see his "crazy aunt" in D.C., and we took a day trip out to Mt. Vernon. We had a good time, although, I can remember that it was extremely hot...and we had to drag his crazy aunt around!
